Edward R. Jones, Ph.D., is Executive Vice President and President of the ValueOptions® Commercial Division.
Dr. Jones manages ValueOptions®’ commercial business, which is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality care and service for those members.
Prior to joining ValueOptions®, Dr. Jones served as Chief Clinical Officer of PacifiCare Behavioral Health (PBH), where he managed the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, PBH's provider network and operation of the company’s service centers. He represented PBH on the board of the American Managed Behavioral Healthcare Association (AMBHA) and served as the board's chairman in 2004.
Dr. Jones has been both a provider of care and a business executive during his career. He worked as a psychologist in private practice during the 1980s. He later became co-owner and co-director of a multi-disciplinary group practice that grew and merged with the Behavioral Health Network (BHN), where he served as Executive Director.
Dr. Jones is a featured speaker at many national and state conferences on behavioral health and outcomes management. He has authored several articles on topics such as improving detection of suicide and substance abuse risk, as well as improving clinical outcomes in large systems of care.
Currently a member of the editorial board of Behavioral Healthcare magazine, Dr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Northwestern University.
